Ancient Rome
Rome was a known power from arguably 509 BC to 1453 AD. We don'tknow exactly how Rome was founded, but the most prevalent myth is that Romulus and Remus. The history of Rome is split into four different segments. The first is the kingdom of Rome which lasted from 753 BC to 509 BC. The next is the roman republic from 509 BC to 27 BC and ended with the Senate's appointment of Julius Cesars son as an emperor. It was split in western and Eastern side in 285 AD. The western side is known and Western Roman but only lasted until 476 AD. The Eastern side is known as the Byzantine Empire lasted until 1453 AD.
